Mr. George Andah, former Chief Marketing Officer of MTN has moved from Bharti Airtel and is now the Chief Operating Officer of one of the leading telecoms operator in Africa, GLO.Andah, who was formerly at Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited, was in 2009 awarded the Marketing Man of the Year, along several other awards he picked up for his marketing acumen.He has also been credited as having played crucial roles in MTN Ghana's growth and huge success as a market leader in Ghana.His move could be part of GLO’s plan to capture the Ghanaian market and also make it a leading brand as he did with Bharti Airtel, MTN and Guinness Ghana Limited.Andah’s move is said to be strategic for Glo’s quest to become a market leader in Ghana, especially with his experience in the Ghanaian market while working for MTN.Andah who is already in the country to start work according to reports.Meanwhile, Glo is expected to launch its services this month.Andah attained his first degree in Bsc Biochemistry at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
