Ghana has moved up four places on the FIFA/Coca-Cola World rankings to occupy the 33rd position.
The October edition of the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking according to Fifa was largely shaped by a total of 136 matches played in qualifying matches for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil and various continental championships.
The Black Stars, who after beating Sudan in the 2012 Nations Cup qualifier and drawing goalless with Nigeria in a friendly gained 34 points to leave them with a total of 734 points.
Ghana still remain third-best on the African table behind Egypt, who are in second while Ivory Coast tops the rankings.
Spain sit top the overall ranking ahead of the Netherlands, who are second and Germany in third place.
