All six recognized Cattle Owners in the Agogo area have finally moved their cattle and their Fulani herdsmen to the new area allocated to them.
As at Tuesday, only one Cattle owner Alhaji Dagomba had moved but on Thursday, the Chairman for the Fulanis Association of Agogo Alhaji Ahmed Adams told Joy News, the last owner together with his herd of cattle and Fulani workers were on their way from Agogo.
According to Alhaji Adams, a combined team of Military and Police escorted the nomads.
But he says the space is small and they have only one source of water for the over 6000 cattle.
“The place is very crowded; some of them are even saying that they want to come back, but we told them no…the problem is that the workers are Fulani men but the cattle are not for them.”
He said the area has been “flashed” out all illegal Fulani herdsmen.
Alhaji Adams said officials of the National Security have provided the cattle owners and their herdsmen with Identity Cards for easy identification.
