A retired Supreme Court judge, Mr Justice Elliot D.K. Adjabeng has been honoured with the Osisiblisi Meritorious Award.
Mr. Justice Adjabeng was among a number of persons presented with the award at the celebration of the annual rice festival, Amufest 2011, by the chiefs and people of Avatime.
The Paramount Chief for the Avatime Traditional Area, Osie Adza Tekpor VII, conferred the Osisiblisi Meritorious Awards, the highest recognition of the Avatime Traditional Council, on some sons and daughters of the Avatime Area during the Amu (Rice) Festival 2011, held at Amedzofe, from 7th to 13th November.
Two former chairpersons of the Pharmacy Council of Ghana, Mr. Harrison Kofi Abutiate and Mrs Eniton Gavu, were also presented with the awards.
Other recipients include Isaac Kafui Ackuaku, CEO of Iketech Company Limited, Mr. Samuel Akagbor, CEO of Abraerica Hospitality and Tours and Mr. Lipe Gavu, the Secretary to the Executive & Oversight Subcommittee of Avatime Development Committee.
Senior Divisional Chief, Okusie Djabre Kuntoo Takyi X, of Biakpa-Avatime made the presentations on behalf of Osie Adza Tekpor VII.
