Industries and construction firms have been urged on the need to use Firesafe Insulated Panels to safeguard lives and properties.
They were also advised to make insurance a priority to serve as a guarantee to their staff and properties should any uncertainties occur.
The call was made at a day’s workshop organized by Kingspan Izopoli at the Movenpick Hotel in Accra.
Kingspan Izopoli, a Turkish company is a world leader in manufacture of Firesafe Insulated Sandwich Panels for the construction of cold stores, dairy plants, warehouses, airport hangers, prefabricated houses as well as residential and industrial roofing.

In an interview with Myjoyonline.com, the Country Manager of Kingspan Izopoli, Isaac Dedume said the main objective of the workshop was to educate and enlighten key stakeholders in the building and construction industries on the need to use firesafe insulated panels so as to curb the magnitude of damage to be caused in the event of a fire outbreak.
He noted that it is about time key stakeholders in the Building and Construction industry are trained on the need to use fire resistant materials like Kingspan Izopoli panels which are self extinguishing and does not support fire spread, ensuring protection of lives and property.
Mr. Dedume underscored the need for more education on fire safety and prevention at a time fire outbreaks has become a rampant phenomenon in the country.

“With respect to current fire regulations and the need to build passive fire protection into a structure, insulated isophenic panel systems are amongst proven building methods” he observed.
Isaac Dedume added that Kingspan Izopoli panels are cost effective, more durable, hygienic, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly because they adapt to the circumstances of the changing era in the world economy.
