A medical report from the South Suntreso Government Hospital has confirmed the defilement of a seven-year-old girl by her teacher, who had taken pictures of the sexual act, a circuit court in Kumasi has heard.
According to the police, reports indicate that the teacher started sexually abusing the Primary One Pupil when she was in the kindergarten.
Twenty-three-year old David Oduro, who teaches at the Frank Duff Preparatory School at Bremang in Kumasi, has pleaded not guilty to defilement, and has been remanded in prison custody for two weeks.
Police Deputy Superintendent (DSP) Kwaku Amoako, the Ashanti Regional Coordinator of the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU), who briefed the Times, said the pictures circulated by the accused showed the little girl licking the tip of his manhood, in her nakedness, the accused kissing her, and the girl in a romantic pose.
He said two months ago, the girl failed to return home after school and when her father became alarmed, someone gave him the mobile telephone number of the teacher to call him.
The father did, and the teacher admitted that the girl was with him in his house, playing computer games, and asked her father to allow her to spend the night with him.
The father refused and went for the child.
A week later someone showed a pornographic picture of the teacher and the girl, to the mother.
DSP Amoako said Oduro took pictures of the sexual acts with the girl with his mobile telephone which he showed to his friends who copied and distributed them.
According to the medical report signed by Dr. Banor, there was penetration into the private part of the little girl by the accused, also known as Obama.
