A Sussex woman is renting out her donkey's stable for people wanting to experience the "true meaning of Christmas".
Fiona Turton will be charging guests £12 a night over the festive season for the back to basics experience.
The unusual B&B on the South Downs is normally home to Buggins the donkey but he has had to make way for paying guests.
The stable now boasts a cosy double straw bed, tea making facilities and heating.
And for anyone not keen on forgoing their modern conveniences it even has wireless internet and 'mood' lighting.
Shepherd costumes and bath towels are available at an additional cost, but traditional 'Christmas lessons' are free of charge.
Fiona and her husband, who are both doctors, intend to donate any money they make to Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
The idea to transform the stable came from their daughter-in-law Abbi Broadbent, whose aunt died of leukaemia.
According to Fiona, she hopes that the idea will help people to "rediscover the true meaning of Christmas".
