Daycare staff were horrified to discover a marijuana cigarette in the lunchbox of an 18-month-old boy.
The Clinton Child Care Center employees in Connecticut called police after finding the joint while unpacking the container at lunchtime.John Sulzbach, the toddler's father, allegedly dropped the drugs inside while preparing his son's lunch at their Killingworth home.Childcare workers called police last Thursday shortly after midday.The child's parents agreed to a search of their property where less than one ounce of the drug and smoking paraphernalia was discovered in the basement.Sulzbach, 33, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and impairing the morals of a child, according to NBC Connecticut.
He was released but is due in court on December 22.It is not the first time that a child has revealed a parent's drug use. In September, a kindergarten pupil brought his mother's crack pipe and drugs to school for show and tell.Mother Michelle Marie Cheatham, 32, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and one count of first-degree child endangerment after the incident at Sweet Springs Elementary School in Missouri.
