The President John Evans Atta Mills says he is energized to continue executing programs and policies that will meet the aspirations and hopes of the Ghanaian people.
Congratulating the staff at the castle at the beginning of the first working day of the year, the president said he is optimistic that the people of Ghana will be satisfied with his work after his first term and renew his mandate.
As has been his style at the beginning of every year, President Mills interacted and patted the castle workers on the back for their hard work and dedication towards work.
The president moved from office to office, garage to garage, the castle clinic, the post office, the fire service post, the castle canteen including the inner and outer receptions shaking hands with the workers and thanking them for keeping the faith in helping build a better society.
The president while congratulating them also encouraged them to work even harder to deliver on the better Ghana promise to the people of Ghana.
Interacting with the press, the communication director at the presidency Koku Anyidoho explained that the gesture by the president was to motivate and inspire the workers to give off their best as civil servants.
He said the president is leading from close range and thus the need to motivate and instill in the workers the sense of belonging and care.
Some elated staff at the seat of government blessed and prayed for strength and longevity of life for the president.
