The Ga-Damgbe youth are suspecting foul play in the fire that engulfed the Lands Commission building earlier today, destroying almost everything at the records department at about 5am this morning. The youth are accusing the commission of plotting to destroy all land documents in order to delay the release of Ga-Damgbe lands to the original owners.Vice President of the Ga Dangbme Youth Association, Nii Marma Marquaye, for instance, told Adom News Ga-Damgbe names on Commission's documents have been deleted, and queries to that effect have not been answered.According to him, it would be difficult for them to accept that the fire was an accident.Meanwhile, the Ghana National Fire Service is to launch full scale investigations into the incident to establish the actual cause of the fire outbreak which destroyed public records including documents on payments and certifications. The Lands and Natural Resources Minister, Mr Mike Hammar has also given strong indications that the cause of the fire will be pursued until the truth is established.
