CHILDAccra has been adjudged the Best Medical and Preventive Healthcare Clinic of the Year at the recent Quality Service Awards.
Receiving the award, Dr Eleades Fromenta, a medical doctor at the facility thanked organizers, Gehab Events, for recognizing the immense work and service being rendered to the general public by ChildAccra.
According to Dr Fromenta, “this award means a lot to ChildAccra as it proves yet again that we are gaining recognition for all the hard work we have put in making the clinic the best in medical and preventive healthcare.”
“For us, it shows how innovative we are and we will keep raising the bar by creating new services to suit the needs of our patients.
Such innovation is seen in, for instance, one of our services called ‘Beyond the Nets".
He said the campaign went beyond net usage and create awareness; conduct a lot of research and training on mosquito-borne diseases; and provide preventive products such as bands, soaps, wipes and creams to help prevent malaria.
"We go beyond the norm by thinking outside the box to find solutions” adds Dr Fromenta.
Dalene Lindsay, an executive of the centre who also shared her views on the clinic’s latest milestone believes the successes and recognition being received by the clinic comes down to its ability provide tailor-made solutions to its clients and customers.
“Our clinic has transitioned from Emergency care to preventive care. We have customized malaria prevention programs, we have a women’s health programme as well as an intensive care programme,” he said.
“All these wonderful services are provided by a dedicated and well-trained team,” she says.
“Our team goes above and beyond with patient care; we maintain a special relationship with our patients because relationship is what increases patient retention. Indeed, we dwell more on patient experience and satisfaction” she emphasises.
