Madam Patricia Appiagyei, Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive, has admonished Ghanaians to adopt good and healthy lifestyles.
She stated that this could be done by exercising their body everyday through walking, eating balanced diet as well as having enough rest after the day's work.
Madam Appiagyei was speaking after she had joined the medical students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in a health walk from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) to KNUST in Kumasi on Saturday.
She said since a healthy mind was found in a healthy body, there was the need for all to encourage walking as part of their daily endeavours.
Madam Appiagyei commended the students for their initiative towards educating the people on the need to look healthy at all times.
Mr Kwaku Obiri-Yeboah, President of the Medical Students Association, said the health walk was part of their annual National Health Week programme, which would be launched at Atwima-Koforidua on September 21.Source: GNA
