It was all fun and excitement when kids from the Osu Children’s Home joined Vice President, John Mahama, his wife Lordina and their children in their home for a special Easter children’s party.
The children were treated to meals and drinks, they had bouncy castles to play in and were given souvenirs ranging from playing kits to learning tools.
The children also engaged the Vice President and his wife in an “Azonto contest”.
The Vice President reiterated government’s desire to ensure child wellbeing remained a priority.
Mrs. Mahama pledged to continue her support for institutions accommodating deprived children such as the Tamale Children’s Home, Osu Children’s Home and the Fafraha orphanage in Accra as well as several others in the Brong Ahafo region.
She said helping underprivileged children is a cause she has been pursuing for a long time because she feels that deprived children also have the right to live fun-filled lives and have a bright future.
