Harry Kane's second-half header was enough to give Tottenham victory over Arsenal and move them up to third place in the Premier League.
The Spurs striker nodded a Ben Davies cross past Arsenal keeper Petr Cech for his 23rd goal of the season, handing the Gunners their third consecutive away league defeat.
Kane had headed over the bar with the best chance of a quiet first 45 minutes, while Cech prevented Spurs from extending their lead with stops to deny Kane and Kieran Tripper.
Substitute Alexandre Lacazette rolled a shot just wide deep into stoppage time, but defeat leaves sixth-placed Arsenal five point adrift of Chelsea above them.
Arsenal did not manage a shot on target until the 68th minute when Jack Wilshere's long-range effort in forced Hugo Lloris into a save.
Lacazette had scooped a shot over the bar moments before he rolled his injury-time chance wide. His side are now winless in their last 16 Premier League away games against the current top five clubs.
