The Eastern Regional Minister Victor Smith is urging residents who fled their villages due to attacks by some Fulani herdsmen to return.
He said their safety will be guaranteed as calm has returned to those troubled spots.
Some two farmers were reportedly killed last Saturday by Fulani herdsmen engaged in illegal operations in the area.
Mr. Smith said a team of security personnel have been dispatched to parts of the Kwahu South and East Districts to ensure the residents are adequately protected.
“We still have a taskforce of a combined team of police and military ensuring that genuine calm returns before we withdraw the taskforce.”
