The lack of storage facilities and warehouses in some farming communities of the Upper West region have resulted in huge post-harvest losses.
The farmers told Joy News that they will want to farm on larger scales but the unavailability of storage facilities have held them back.
Some farmers of Zingu, a community in the Upper West Regional capital, Wa say reliance on traditional methods of storage has led to insect attacks on the yields.
Some of them say they are looking forward to the government’s one district one warehouse policy to alleviate their woes.
