A similar agreement was, however, signed under the tenure of John Mahama in 2015.
Wednesday morning's demonstration begun at the Obra spot in Accra is led by a coalition of political parties known as Ghana First Patriotic Front.
Scores of opposition supporters including ranking member on Foreign Affairs Committee, Okudzeto Ablakwa and former CEO of National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS); Sylvester Mensah have joined the demonstration.
The embattled agreement was passed by Parliament last Friday after Minority members walked out to demonstrate their disapproval to what they believe is selling of the sovereign status of Ghana.
