A Sydney woman has told how her pet cat has become addicted to playing games on her iPad.
Anne Druais even keeps a plastic screen protector to protect the tablet computer from Tiger Lily's claws.
The fortunate feline has ditched balls of cotton wool for a raft of recently launched pet-friendly apps.
"She has been playing with the iPad for the last four to five months," said Ms Druais.
"We thought it'd be a good idea to amuse her with something else than rubber balls and strings.
"We started with really simple things and now that she's more interested you can see she's almost developing her skills. She's certainly evolving with it."
Ms Druais says Tiger Lily will play the iPad for 10 to 15 minutes at a time, and she believes it is a great source of stimulation.
"I think she certainly enjoys it because she's intrigued by it. She's intrigued by the sound but also the pictures that move around and in and out of the frame," she added.
RSPCA spokeswoman Amanda Appel says that more tech-savvy cats can only be a good thing.
"It's just another thing for them in their environment that mixes up their day, which gives them something to do," she said.
