Members of Parliament have been paying tribute to their late colleague, the Kwabre West MP, Emmanuel Asamoah Owusu-Ansah.
He passed away at the Korle Bu Teaching hospital early Friday.
MP for Old Tafo, Dr Anthony Akoto Osei first narrated to Joy News how he heard the news.
Amidst sobs and tears, he said the late Owusu-Ansah was a close family friend whom he knew since childhood.
Dr. Akoto said Mr Owusu-Ansah was in Parliament on Wednesday last week and made a contribution on the floor of the House.
“One of his favourite jokes was that, as a Regional Minister, anybody coming to Kumasi, if he didn’t give you a visa, you couldn’t come there; even if you were an MP so we used to call him governor,” a teary Akoto said of the late MP.
His death, he said, was a huge loss.
Adentan MP, Adu Asare described the late Owusu-Ansah as a father.
"There is one thing I will always remember him for; his views on issues and the way he presented them," he added.
