Medlab Ghana Limited has secured a renewal of its “gold” standard accreditation for another four-year cycle.
The ISO 15189:2007 accreditation was awarded by internationally acclaimed accreditation body, SANAS, after a thorough assessment of the laboratory which took the most part of 2011.
Established in 1995, Medlab in 2008 became the first-ever laboratory in West Africa to have been awarded the “gold” standard in laboratory accreditation and the only outside South Africa and has never slipped in the stringent annual renewal certification audits.
Medlab remains the laboratory whose results are preferable to the foreign embassies and missions for purposes of visa processing.
Owing to the massive investment made in maintaining the standards and in the most sophisticated equipment, there is now virtually no need for medical tests to be shipped outside the country.
Management and staff of Medlab, obviously excited by the latest achievement have vowed to maintain the standards as well as the excellent customer service clients have become used to.
Managing Director, Rosemary Keatley said, “Medlab Ghana Limited will always put its customers first by ensuring results issued are reliable, accurate and on time, thus enabling clinicians to take life-saving decisions immediately”.
