Botafogo have signed Clarence Seedorf on a two-year deal, the club confirmed on Saturday. The 36-year-old had long been linked with a move to South America upon the expiry of his contract at AC Milan. However, after months of speculation and undertaking a punditry position with the BBC for coverage during Euro 2012, he will ply his trade in Rio de Janeiro for the next two seasons.A statement on the club's official website reads: "Botafogo have completed the signing of 36-year-old Dutch midfielder Clarence Seedorf."He has signed a two-year contract with Botafogo. The date of his presentation will be announced at a later time. This is the biggest signing of a foreign player made by a Brazilian club."Seedorf, who had also been linked to MLS side LA Galaxy and newly-promoted Premier League outfit West Ham, spent 10 years at Milan, winning two Serie A titles and two Champions Leagues during his time with the Rossoneri.
