Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup is trying to sign Bristol City’s Ghanaian winger Albert Adomah - but will have to find £3 million to do it.
Tricky attacker Adomah was a stand-out in the Championship and would leap at the chance of top-flight football if the price can be agreed.
Laudrup has been recruiting quickly since he took over and his money men will try to sort out a fee this week - with other Premier League clubs taking an interest.
A Premier League move would cap a remarkable rise for Adomah, who began his playing career with non-league side Harrow Borough.
He combined playing for the club with studying industrial painting at college.
He was snapped up by League Two side Barnet where he spent two years before joining Bristol City for a fee of £150,000.
He has played 91 league matches for the Robins, and scored ten goals.
Meanwhile Michael Laudrup has been handed a boost with Swansea’s training pitches ready for pre-season.
