Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has started his permanent career with Al Ain as he has joined the UAE side on pre-season training in Austria.
He joined the team on Sunday after permanently severing his relationship with English side Sunderland who loaned him out to Al Ain last season.
Gyan secured last season’s top scorer in the Pro League and last week confirmed he had signed a four-year deal with Al Ain.
Al Ain are sticking to a winning formula after spending much of last summer in Austria and will travel there tomorrow.
The team will spend ten days in Austria before returning to the UAE prior to the beginning of Ramadan. In Austria the UAE champions will play two friendly matches.
Later in August, Al Ain will again travel abroad to complete their training before they face Al Jazira on 15th September in the season’s annual curtain raiser, the Etisalat Super Cup.
Al Ain romped home in style last season for their 10th league success, with 17 wins, four draws and just one loss and with 14 points separating them from second placed Al Nasr.
