A Ghanaian student, Petr Nuama Asare, is upset his picture is among a pack circulating on social media supposedly to be photos of investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
Petr Nuama Asare who is a PHD researcher says the picture released by Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapaong, exposes him to security risk.
He says authorities at Adansi North District Assembly turned him away yesterday because somebody identified him as Anas on a visit to seek information for a study.
Petr who spoke with Nhyira FM’s Kofi Asante, is already contemplating legal action against Mr. Agyapong and Net 2 TV, the network which released the photos.
On whether he has any connection with Anas, the man who says he took the picture in question as a student in India indicated, he has never set eyes on the investigative journalist.
He gives his Facebook name as Petr Nyameba (Piero). He is currently collecting data on climate change impact on rural farmers for the African Union.

Mr. Asare first expressed disgust at the use of his pictures on Facebook, and followed with a denial.
"I would like to state it clearly that I cannot be Anas, neither do I know who Anas is. My focus is academia not investigative journalism," he said in one of his Facebook posts on May 30, 2018.

He however described as shame, media houses using "pictures of innocent Ghanaians" as Anas.
"Those fake media houses propagating to know Anas by using pictures of innocent Ghanaians should bow their heads in shame," he said.

His friends have equally been reacting to the issue on social media, especially on Facebook.
"Petr Nyameba is now Anas? Hahahahahaha Kennedy is a joke,"one of his friend is Kwakye Jonathan Boakye posted on Facebook.

"Now this whole Anas #exposeAnas thing has got out of hands. My own friend Petr Nyameba has had his picture displayed on Net2 television as being Anas. I mean how," Yaw Awuah quizzed on Facebook.
