Ghana’s Bright Simons has been inducted into the 2018 Power Brands Hall of Fame.
The Power Brands project, is seen as the most powerful symbols of global Brand Excellence.
Now in its 12th year, Power Brands Global is a celebration of achievement, highlighting the success of brands and the individuals behind them.
The initiative was created by Daily Indian Media, one of India's largest publishing groups.
An invitation-only project, Simons was inducted into the hall of fame for his pioneering role in fighting counterfeit medicine, products through the free text message.
President of the mPedigree Network, Simons and his team have since 2007 fought global counterfeiting with commitment and passion.
The efforts of the team, especially that of the president have been recognized with many high profile global awards to Simons, including top 35 innovators, under 35 by MIT Technology Review, member of the World Economic Forum's Network of Global Agenda Councils and Technology Pioneers communities, Fortune magazine listed Simons among the World's 50 Greatest Leaders etc.
The latest accolade is the 2018 Power Brands Hall of Fame induction.
“Bright Simons is a Ghanaian social innovator, entrepreneur, writer and vice-president (in charge of research) at IMANI, a statement announcing the list of inductees said.
Other inductees include Cherie Blair Foundation (Represented by Helen McEachern, CEO), Claude Moraes MEP, John Athwal OBE etc.
