Despite a communication from the Presidency appointing one Ms Afua Asabea Asare as the new Chief Executive of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), the lady she was appointed to replace insists she is still at post.
Gifty Klenam tells Joy News she is still the Chief Executive of GEPA.
Speaking from her home on Saturday, Gifty Klenam told Kojo Yankson that she has not received any formal communication from the Presidency asking her to vacate her post.

Meanwhile, a June 7, 2018 letter signed by the Secretary to the President, Nana Asante Bediatuo, and intercepted by Joy News said Ms Afua Asabea Asare must “indicate acceptance or otherwise of the appointment within 14 days of receipt of the letter.”

The letter from the Presidency announcing Ms Asare as Gifty Klenam’s replacement was intercepted barely 48 hours after she (Klenam) and her deputies were removed from post.
