We, the Alumni of the London School of Economics, Ghana Chapter having heard with deep sorrow of the demise of our illustrious Associate, President and Father deem it proper to make a public declaration of our sentiments and feelings on this mournful event.
Indeed, your demise is not only a great loss to the nation but to the academic families out there, especially the London School of Economics which had a great impact on you and on which you had a great impact.
The last time the school saw you was when you visited early in 2009. It was heart warming to see you at your Alma Mater. Little did we know that, that was your last visit to the School. You would forever be remembered for your love for this great school.
While we mingle our sorrow with that of our fellow-citizens, for the loss of our comrade, our thoughts are with the bereaved family, especially your wife, Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills and the Government and people of Ghana.
We are committed to your course of making the country a much better place than ever. In this regard, we will rally behind His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, your successor to make Ghana what you and the other good people of the country desire it to be.
Till we meet again in the hereafter, we wish you a peaceful eternal rest.
Long live LSE Alumni Ghana Chapter, Long live LSE, and Long live Ghana.
FOR AND ON BEHALF OF LSE ALUMNI GHANA CHAPTER
