New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for Asokwa Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Maxwell Kofi Jumah wants the party to hold on to their manifesto launch.The opposition NPP will do a formal launch of its 2012 manifesto Wednesday, but Kofi Jumah popularly known as ‘Kofi Ghana’ believed the event should be suspended.The NPP manifesto described by party leaders as the most audacious policy document ever by a political entity in the country, was adopted by delegates at a special conference last weekend.It promises to transform various sectors of the economy, embark on industrialization agenda, provide free secondary education and create more jobs.Speaking on Adom TV’s Badwam program on Multitv Wednesday, Mr. Jumah stressed that if the NPP goes ahead to launch the manifesto the ruling National Democratic Congress will steal the ideas in the manifesto, especially, the free SHS policy and later claim ownership.He cited Northern Development Fund that was allegedly plagiarized by the NDC and renamed Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA) as well as other policies the NDC now claims ownership that, the Asokwa MP maintained were NPP ideas.Mr. Jumah added that NDC as a party does not have ideas; they only give huge promises and subsequently fail to execute them.Mr. Kofi Jumah said Ghanaians know Nana Addo and without even launching its manifesto, they will vote NPP come 7th Dec 2012.
