The private citizen who initiated the removal of two deputy commissioners of the EC says he will proceed with a process for the prosecution of the two former public officers.
Korsi Senyo told Corruption Watch on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show on Wednesday that he will complete his self-motivated crackdown on corruption and abuse of office against Mrs Georgina Amankwa and Amadu Sulley with a petition to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Attorney-General (A-G) for prosecution.
"I will be petitioning the IGP, of course, for their arrest and also petition the A-G for their prosecution. There are serious issues [at the EC] that I think borders on criminality. The law must take its course. And I will not end there, but I will also petition the Auditor-General to institute a forensic audit of the activities of the Electoral Commission," he told Corruption Watch.
Mr Senyo petitioned President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the removal Amadu Sulley and Georgina Amankwaah, two deputy Electoral Commissioners, a petition that was granted after a committee of enquiry set up by the Chief Justice, Sophia Akuffo, found the two top officials of the EC culpable of breach of key regulations.

The committee also found EC Chairperson, Charlotte Osei, culpable of procurement breaches and, along with her deputies, recommended their immediate removal from office.
The President, in accordance with the Constitution, instituted the committee's recommendation.
Mr Sulley, then Deputy Commissioner in-charge-of Operations at the EC, was cited for a number of infractions at the elections management body, including the illegal transfer of votes and embezzlement.
He has also been asked to refund some GH¢320,822 which went missing under his watch.
Other allegations that were levelled against him in 2017, include the financial exploitation of the political party primaries.
Mrs Georgina Amankwah, who was then Chairperson-in-charge of Corporate Affairs was also removed from her position because of negligence and procurement breaches.
The report of the CJ’s committee said Mrs. Amankwah had misconducted herself and showed gross incompetence.
The crux of her infractions had to do with the signing of two multi-million cedi contracts with were deemed questionable and the disappearance of endowment fund contributions.
GHS 300,000 cash
Korsi Senyo, a citizen vigilante, says there is more rot to be discovered at the EC if further instigations are conducted into financial activities.
He said during the CJ's committee hearing, which he witnessed, it came out that there "300,000 Ghana cedis in cash, which is in a Ghana-must-go [bag] sitting with the interdicted Chief Accountant."
He said the is monies paid to Amadu Sulley as by political parties as proceeds of the 2015 primaries.
"it tells you the magnitude of the mess at the Electoral Commission," he stressed.
