As part of its commitment to winning more souls for Christ, the Deeper Life Campus Fellowship has launched its annual campus congress.
The 2018 Annual Campus Congress dubbed: ‘Transfiguration 2018 – transforming Intellectuals into Agents of Transformation’ is expected to attract over 5000 people from all tertiary institutions across the country.
It will take place between 1st- 5th August, 2018 and it will be held concurrently at Anyaa in Accra for those in the Southern sector and Brofoyedur in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi for the Northern sector.
Speaking at the launch, the National Coordinator of the Deeper Life Campus Fellowship, Pastor Francis Fosu said this year’s event will also tackle the pertinent issues such as homosexuality, abortion and alcoholism that have engulfed the tertiary institutions.
According to him, tertiary institutions have now become the breeding ground for moral decadence hence the need for the church to save the souls of innocent children for God.
Pastor Fosu urged the youth to come in their numbers to experience the power of God which will liberate them from the bondage of sin.
Also, Dr Kingsley Agomor who was the Guest Speaker at the launch of 2018 Annual Campus Congress commended the church for championing moral uprightness in schools.
He indicated that, Deeper Life should be proud of themselves because there are some Christians who go to church but are not filled with holiness.
“Christianity has come to a situation where people just identify themselves with churches. They are in the church but are not filled with holiness; but as Christians we need to take out unbelief and rely on Jesus and the word of God. Intellectual’s knowledge must be rooted in the word of God,” he stated.
Dr Kingsley Agomor added that, “the state has failed us so the church must wake up for Ghana to be transformed”.
