"I am not like NDC leaders who make promises that they can't keep" were the words of the New Patriotic Party presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo, when he toured the Kumawu constituency in the Ashanti region on Monday with his hope restoration campaign. He said, "I have not come here to deceive you. It is not in my nature to say things that I can’t do. Unlike NDC leaders who come to you during elections just to deceive you for political gains, I Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will stand by you all the way and deliver on the promises I make to you."He said, "Politics is all about ensuring that you serve the people in truth and honesty and bring prosperity to them.""The current situation that we have" Nana Addo said, "with NDC propagandists telling lies about the economy and deceiving the people that they have delivered a better Ghana is unacceptable and must stop."He said the NPP has carefully designed a well thought through economic transformation agenda that will help transform the Ghanaian economy from a raw materials exporter to a value addition economy. This, he said, will help create the much needed jobs for the Ghanaian people and bring prosperity to them. The NPP leader said the ruling NDC have showed in nearly four years that they do not know how to manage the economy except to pollute the political atmosphere with baseless propaganda."We in the NPP will not do that. When we got eight years, you saw what we did with it", Nana Addo charged. He appealed to the people of Kamawu and the entire Ashanti region to remain resolute behind him and the NPP because "a better government is coming next year to do away with the corruption and bring development and prosperity to you."
