The Spokesperson of former President Jerry John Rawlings, Kofi Adams has denied media reports that his boss will be attending the NDC campaign and manifesto launch in the Volta Region.According to Kofi Adams, the Office of the former President has not received any official invitation from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to the Thursday October 4 manifesto and campaign launch.Speaking on Adom TV's Badwam on Multitv Wednesday October 3, the suspended Deputy General Secretary said he has also not received an invitation.Mr. Simon Amegashie-Viglo, Volta Regional Secretary of the NDC had earlier told pressmen on Tuesday that former President Rawlings and some NDC gurus were expected to be at the launch in the NDC’s"World Bank".But Kofi Adams has described Mr Amegashie-Viglo’s claim and the subsequent publications and radio reports as false. He said if such an invitation is extended, however, it will be considered and the former president would take the decision whether to attend or not.In a quick response, the Women's Organizer of the governing party, Anita Desoso said the former President would play a key part in the proceedings and it was therefore wrong to think he had been left out of such an important programme.
