Ex-president Jerry John Rawlings is urging President John Mahama to do away with people he referred to as "evil dwarves."
Addressing teeming supporters of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the party’s manifesto launch in the Volta Region Thursday, the ex-president said well meaning members and supporters of the party must remember the president in prayers as he cuts ties with those same old evil dwarves.
He did not however mention who the evil dwarves are.
“My fellow comrades, I’ve come to share something very interesting with you. There is nothing more oppressive than when a political leader refuses to see the actions of negative elements around him,” he stated.
“In the same vein, there is nothing more rewarding than when a political leader begins to recognise their negative actions. It means there is hope.”
The ex-president and founder of the NDC is convinced the president is beginning to see the actions of these same old evil dwarves and urged him to have the courage of conviction and do away with them.
