Police in the Northern Region say they have not received any report suggesting that two motor riders crashed to their death as they followed the convoy of the NPP’s presidential candidate in Tamale Saturday.
Hundreds of NPP supporters took to the streets of Tamale on their motorbikes to welcome Nana Akufo-Addo to the town.
But some of them were said to have been injured as they engaged in display of acrobatics.
Chief Executive of Tamale Teaching Hospital, Dr Ken Sagoe earlier told Joy News two supporters who were brought in for medical attention died whilst several others sustained various degrees of injuries.
But Regional Police Commander, ACP George Tuffuor says his outfit is not aware of the incident.
He said he conferred with his district commander who denied any knowledge of the incident.
“Nothing of that sort was reported. If it was true, then it was not reported,” he remarked.
