League leaders SC Medeama’s five-game unbeaten run in the ongoing premier league came to an end on Sunday after going down 1-0 to defending champions Asante Kotoko at the Tarkwa T and A park.

New Edubiase have now moved from the bottom ranks of the premier league standings after beating All Stars 1-0 at the Gyamfi Park in Bekwai. Bernard Ofori nodded in a cross past goalkeeper Robert Dabou in the 94th minute to hand Edubiase all the three points.
In other premier league games played at the weekend, AshantiGold defeated Heart of Lions 1-0 at the Kpando Park to keep their impressive form going. Amidaus Professionals lost 2-0 to Aduana Stars at the Dormaa Park with Liberty beating Arsenal 1-0 at the Golden city park in Berekum. Ebusua Dwarfs beat King Faisal 1-0 at the Baba Yara stadium.
