The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has nominated Miss Ruth Amarquaye as its representative to maiden edition of the Ghana Music Awards, Europe, to be held on 24th November 2012 in London.
The GMA Europe which was formerly known as Ghana Music Awards UK, had been running since 2003. This year’s edition is the first time the MUSIGA is collaborating with the organizers.
Miss Ruth Amarquaye was appointed as Social Networker for MUSIGA at the start of 2012. She was in the successful signing of the "Twinning Agreement" between MUSIGA and the British Musicians Union (BMU) in
October.
The MUSIGA representative was also worked with the Ghanaian Professional Achievers (GPA) Awards for three successive awards cycles.
There are a total of 10 public voting categories and 3 honours award. This year's 'Life Time Achievement' with a convincing select committee votes, will go to the Ghanaian internationally acclaimed musician Daniel Amakye Dede for effortlessly combining the guitar hi life style of playing and his unique talent.
Invited performers include Tiffany, Asem, Amakye Dede, Charles Amoah, George Darko, Fuse ODG, Tinchy Strider, Mista Silva, SWAY plus UK's best DJs in rotation playing the best in Azonto, Hiplife, Hilife, RnB, Funky House, and Soul Full Garage for the after party.
