The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has given the assurance that it has the capacity to properly regulate the micro-finance sector. The promise follows concerns about the increasing number of micro finance businesses springing up all over the country. There have also been arguments that the current staff strength of the central bank will make it difficult to control this growing sector. He added that there will be a cut-off for the licensing of the micro-finance institutions.
