Real Tamale United have threatened to pull out of the ongoing Globacom premier league.
The Tamale based side have reacted angrily to certain decisions by the Ghana football association which includes their 6 home match ban with a fine of 5,000 Ghana cedis for its supporters’ assault on Assistant Referee 1 Kofi Asare in a premier league game at the Tamale Stadium.
The premier league returnees is also fined another 5000 Ghana cedis for indulging in acts which have the effect of putting the game of football into disrepute and has also handed its CEO Mr. Abu Nurudeen a 4 month ban from all GFA approved activities.
But Abu Nurudeen who is peeved at these decisions says they will not hesitate to quit the league if the ban is not mitigated.
“I’m surprised at this punishment and I’m going to appear before the authorities again and if it means withdrawing from the league we will go ahead and do it to tell Ghanaians that, the GFA don’t want us to be in the league”
‘We are dealing with rules and regulation, allow the rules to work and don’t allow your personal emotions to override the laws. If we don’t participate in the league it will not add any value to the people of Northern Ghana”.
“If things become worse that is the best decision we will take, we will withdraw and not participate in the league again”.
