Ghana Electrometer, the producer of pre- and post-paid meters in Ghana, has hinted at plans next year to expand operations to other West African countries beginning with Benin.
The company, which has been operating for over five years, says that it intends to replicate its success in Ghana across the continent.
Director of Operations and External Relations Obed Solomon said, “we are committed to providing the country with quality metering solutions to facilitate revenue generation, collection and protection for development” through constant investment in infrastructure.
“For us at GEM, the satisfaction of our customers is our topmost priority and that is why we continue to invest in our infrastructure and our staff.”
Touring the company’s new ultra modern metering plant, Deputy Director of IT and Projects Duke Nelson explained that the new facility will position GEM to meet the country’s metering demands as well as those of other West African countries.
“This new facility is to better position GEM, the only meter assembly company in the country, to continue to provide ECG with internationally-certified electricity meters and also to serve other West African countries", he stated.
