Charming screen goddess, Nadia Buari and actor Van Vicker on Christmas evening emerged tops at the Ghana Movie Awards held at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Nadia's starring role in Rain earned her the Best Actress in Lead Role in English Language whereas Van Vicker's role in Joni Waka saw him walk home with the Best Actor in Lead Role in English Language. Van beat the likes of John Dumelo, Kofi Adjorlolo, Prince David Osei and Ekow Blankson to the top award for the night.
Other award winners on the night included Funny Face who won Best Actor TV series, Efia Schwazzneger who annexed the Best Actress TV series, and DJ Varga, Best Art Direction.
Singles and Married, directed by Pascal Amanfo also did exceptionally well on the night. The movie which starred Yvonne Nelson, Anita Erskine amongst others, won the Best Cinematography Award and its music score was adjudged the Best for the year under review.
The Best Music Score was won by Azonto Ghost, which is currently enjoying massive airplay.
Best TV Series award went to Bongo Bar, Original Screenplay, In the Cupboard, Best Visual Effect, B14, Costume and Wardrobe, Ghana Police, Best Editing, Grooms Bride.
