Ghana football legend Abedi Ayew Pele says he does not believe all coaches require a certificate to do the job successfully. The three-time African Footballer of the Year rates himself along the legendary German football icon, Franz Beckenbauer, who didn’t need a coaching license to lead Germany to the 1990 World Cup title in Italy.Pele, who led his Division One side Nania FC to an FA Cup triumph against premier league big boys, Asante Kotoko, made the submission in a chat with JOY Sports' Nathaniel Attoh.“So what is called a qualified coach? I think that it is totally wrong. I enjoy what I am doing and I am doing it to the best of my knowledge. What really amazes me is how I continue to develop young talents, go to the grassroots and ensure that football is becoming great in our country.”The ex-Black Stars skipper was recently named FA Cup Coach of the Year after the triumph.
