Accra Brewery Limited (ABL), Ghana’s premier beverage manufacturer, has donated assorted consumer items worth GHC30,000 to the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) to support persons displaced by last Wednesday’s floods as well as victims of the fire out-break at the Goil filling station at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle.
The items consist of 50 bags of rice, 100 gallons of cooking oil, 100 bags of maize, 50 bags of sugar, 50 cartons of milk and 100 cases of club minerals.
The Corporate & Legal Affairs Director of ABL, Ms. Adjoba Kyiamah, in a brief address noted that ABL, as a caring company believes in the ideals of being each other’s keeper, particularly in times of need.
“We have all received with great shock and sadness, the news of the harrowing experiences of our compatriots during the torrential down pour last week. ABL therefore deems it fit to express our condolences through this donation to enable the affected persons reorganise themselves to return to their normal daily activities.” she added.
Charllote Asantewa Acheampong, NADMO’s Director of Climate Change, expressed the organization’s appreciation for the gesture.
