Managing Partner at accounting and auditing firm Deloitte Ghana has challenged accountants to be more proactive in recommending solutions to deal with the country's economic problems.
Speaking at a ceremony to swear-in Network Panel Members of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, ACCA Ghana, Felix Nana Sackey bemoaned the inability of accountants to contribute their expertise in tackling teething national economic issues.
“It looks like we all (accountants) understand the dynamics of the market but everybody is quite and we deal with it at the organizational level. It’s a matter of all of us coming together and reviewing what is happening on the market and give recommendations”, Mr Sackey told Joy Business.

Members of the Network Panel of the ACCA Ghana sworn into office include: Henry Tetteh Djangmah (President), Tawiah Michael Klutse (Vice President), Evelyn Ama Lartey, Michael Nyarko, Wisdom Nuworkpor, Francis Gariba Apam, Kwame Omane Boamah, Edem Kofi Kugbey, Henry Agyeman Boateng.
The Network Panel is tasked to promote the ACCA brand in each of the countries ACCA works within.
“My task is to deepen the relationship ACCA has with its members to serve the Ghanaian economy effectively and efficiently to sustain businesses in the country”, President of the Panel Henry Djangmah told Joy Business.
