Aduana Stars coach Yusif Abubakar says he is pleased with the performance of his players in the defeat at Al Tahaddy.
The Ghana League champions were beaten 1-0 by the Libyan side in their CAF Champions League opener.
Aduana conceded in the first minute when an unmarked Mahmoud Ali calmly found the back of the net. ‘’We only wanted to defend and attack at the same time.
We didn’t approach the game with a defensive mentality,’’ Abubakar revealed.
It was a good performance, my boys did well. We had a lot of chances but unfortunately, lack of communication in the final third of the pitch meant we couldn’t equalise.’’
With the scoreline, Aduana will fancy their chances of overturning the deficit and progressing to the next stage.
The return leg comes on the 19th February in Dormaa.
