The Chairman of the Electoral Commission, Dr. Kwodwo Afari-Gyan will be on Ghana's flagship election programme on Ghana Television’s – ‘THE ELECTION PLATFORM’ – on Thursday, September 13, to speak on a range of issues including the creation of new constituencies.
A statement signed by Mr Bright Blewu, General Secretary of the Ghana Journalists Association said the EC Chairman who was the inaugural guest on that programme on Thursday, 26th July 2012 to speak on “The Inbuilt Integrity of Ghana’s Electoral Process” would this time speak on a range of issues including the creation of new constituencies which has generated controversy and the challenges of the exhibition of the voters’ register.
The Election Platform is a television programme put in place by the GJA, Star-Ghana, KAB Governance Consult and the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation to provide a platform for authentic information on the 2012 elections in particular and the electoral process in general.
The objective is to help Ghanaians make informed decisions on the 2012 elections thereby promoting the credibility of the Elections.
