African Champion Industries, producers of Rose toilet roll will list on the London Stock Exchange by the close of this year.
The tissue and paper manufacturing firm formally Supper Paper Product limited wants to allow its investors outside to inject the needed funds into the business.
The move will first see the company just list by introduction and later raise money from that market.
However this must be subjected to shareholder approval later this week.
If the firm’s move becomes successful, it will be the second company from Ghana to list on the London Exchange after former Ashanti Goldfields now Anglogold Ashanti.
Meanwhile the company is also to acquire 51 per cent stake in four firms.
This is part of plans to diversify the company’s interest to generate more funds for the business.
The drive will see the company offer 1.5 million Ghana cedis in cash and 7.2 million shares to acquire the entities.
Francis Andoh tells Joy Business this is the way the company must deal with current challenges facing the company.
The firms include Industries Aggregates, Voltacars Rental Services, Vanfred mining and Atlantic works.
