Former Asante Kotoko striker Ahmed Toure is ready to take on Egyptian side El Gouna who announced he is HIV/AIDS positive.
The Ivorian has released the report of a test taken at the Al Moktabar Laboratories in Cairo on August 9, 2012 and signed by Dr Hend El Sherbini which he tested negative.
He has decided to seek justice from FIFA if the club is found to be behind the spreading of the false information about his health.
Toure has signed a pre-contract with El Gouna and agreed to join them in January when the transfer window re-opens.
An official of El Gouna, Ahmed Al Sohafey, told a reporter in Egypt that the 25-year-old has contracted the virus.
Al Sohafey also alleged that Toure left the North African country with a fake passport.
“I’m in Abidjan now and I did not run away with a fake passport and don’t believe the club is the source of the story,” Toure exclusively told MTNFootball.com.
“If the club is involved, then I will go to FIFA to report them.”
“I agreed to play for them next January after passing my medical test,” he added.
The 2011 Ghana Premier League Most Valuable Player quit Ghanaian champions Kotoko in July.
He has since joined Ivorian second-tier side Athletic FC Adjame to keep fit.
Toure played for Belgian side Lokeren, Africa Sport and Tunisian side CS Sfaxien.
He recently naturalized to play for Burkina Faso after attempts to play for Ghana proved futile.
