Former New Patriotic Party General Secretary, Nana Ohene Ntow has expressed confidence that Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen will be among the five aspiring candidates to be voted for in Sunday’s Super Delegates congress.
Ohene Ntow, who speaks for Mr. Kyerematen told Joy News that having been satisfied with preparations and responses from supporters during their tour of the regions, he (Alan) would make it in the top five.
The congress is aimed at reducing the seven aspirants to five.
Also a former Trade Minister in John Kufuor’s administration, Mr. Kyerematen would be contesting the 2012 flagbearership of the party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Member of Parliament for Mampong, Francis Addai Nimoh as well as Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, a former MP for Offinso.
Others include a former Information Minister, Stephen Asamoah Boateng, Joe Ghartey, MP for Essikado-Ketan and Asuogyaman MP, Osei Ameyaw.
“For now, the important thing is for Alan to be in the final five,” Ohene Ntow said.
The campaign team, he noted returned from the Central region Friday where they were seeking the mandate of delegates, come Sunday.
Meanwhile, the presidential primaries has been slated for October 18, 2014.
