Strategic committee Member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Alhaji Braimah Akanbi, has revealed Japanese American coach, Kenichi Yatsuhashi walked out on the management committee members during a meeting between both parties.
Coach Kenichi was invited to a meeting at the Hearts of Oak secretariat to report on their last game against WAFA but according to Alhaji Braimah, Kenichi refused to engage the management committee in any discussion on that subject.
“Kenichi gave us an indication that he is ready to meet us yesterday but responded angrily when we met him. He refused to give us any report about the WAFA game saying “I (Kenichi) didn’t come here for that,” Akanbi told Asempa Sports.
“He then carried his things and slammed the door on us.”
“He didn’t even board the vehicle he came with. He angrily just walked away and the mysterious thing is, we haven’t contained the coach for more than fifteen minutes anytime we have had a management meeting and his behavior is totally disrespectful,” he added
Alhaji Braimah also revealed that this is not the first time coach Kenichi had walked away from the management committee meeting.
“Every meeting we have had with him is unproductive. Can you imagine someone you have employed refusing to give you any report when you ask him?”
Hearts of Oak parted ways with their Sporting Director, Joe Addo on Thursday after the management meeting.
Asked the main reason why they sacked their sporting director, Alhaji disclosed that it was purely a management decision.
“The management took the decision to restructure the club because you can see that the performance is sinking and we can’t stand it and
I want to state categorically that Joe Addo was not leaking any information to the coach as some media report has emerged but rather a purely management decision.”
Hearts of Oak play AshantiGold in matchday 9 of the Ghana Premier League.
