The poor run of the Ghana boxing team continues at the 10th All Africa Games in Maputo, Mozambique.
Out of the 10-member Black Bombers boxing team sent to the games, only two boxers have qualified to the medal zone.
The Black Bombers super heavyweight, Alhaji Haruna Osman who was a medal hopeful, could not qualify to the medal zone after losing to Tradelsi Ayemen of Tunisia.
The Assistant Coach of the Black Bombers, George Ayeh has attributed the poor run of the team at the games to the inexperience of some of the boxers.
The two medal hopefuls, Heavyweight boxer Maxwell Amponsah and Lightweight contender David Bawah will fight their Nigerian opponents this afternoon at the Desportivo center in the semi finals of the medal zone.
In a related development, the former financial and sports administrator of the Tennis Association, Mr. Prempeh Bannerman has expressed worry about how the Ghanaian authorities have handled issues concerning the Ghana contingent at the games.
